Another – very important – step of Europe, a Patient Europa and the Association for Social Cooperatives on the path of cooperative transformation of Eastern Greater Poland.
That is: good use of money from the Just Transition Fund to create new jobs:
a. near the house,
b. stable and worthy,
c. useful for the area.
Over 50 people took part in the workshop on 19th of September: miners, foremen, managers and trade unionists from the Pątnów-Adamów-Konin Power Plant Complex (ZE PAK), mayors, mayors, local government representatives, specialists in building and supporting cooperatives from the Wielkopolska Center for Social Economy and the Association for for Social Cooperatives led by Przemysław Piechocki, local cooperative members developing enterprises that are doing well on the market.
Finally: the best European specialists from the START secretariat of the European Commission’s technical assistance program for mining regions in transition and Neil McInroy, advisor to the Scottish government, the mayor of Manchester, and a practitioner implementing programs in several (republican and democratic) US states – one of the best expert practitioners in the field of Community Wealth Building.
